snarko!s Endorsements for March 4 Texas Primary Election

STRONGEST going to Henry, Thompson, and Maxey, for the people who know I do this crowd

Screw the Chronicle. Well, not entirely. Lemme give you--I KNOW these people--up first my STRONG DISAGREEMENTS:

PRESIDENT: ANYONE BUT HILLARY. I don't care if you vote for a rock. I'm personally writing in "None of the Above" as candidate. Their endorsement of Obama's "okay"; I won't hate you for it.

STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 46: BRIAN THOMPSON. What, are they NUTS?! No, this ISN'T a "close-call between progressives". Dawna's a progressive PHONY, not Brian (as they try to smear). The Chronicle's own staff bitches about her some 6 pages later for some scandal. Come on.

Yeah, Brian's not experienced. No one running for the first time is, are they now? Duh.

Joe and I have both had personal conversations with him--want to know why? HE SHOWS UP WHERE YOU ARE and talks to you about your concerns. He's a total open-door politician. Some other candidate I know is lying about her ties to the Trans-Texas Corridor and "vertical mixed used" sellouts.

There's a reason Brian out-yard-signs her in the 2-3 20-to-1. Vote Brian.

TRAVIS TAX ASSESSOR COLLECTOR: GLEN MAXEY. This isn't a "close call" either. Again, they slam the opponent themselves pages later for supporting the voter ID legislation the Republicans are trying to push for.

MAXEY is the NUMBER ONE voter-outreach person of Travis County. I've worked with him, to the point I laughed when he said, "I wonder what color 'snarko!s lung' is?" on a can of donated paint.

For the record, it's the blackest black you can get. 100% black, 30% each cyan, magenta, yellow. I used it to paint all the VOTE TODAY signs we illegally stuck all over town. My favorite I did middle of I-35 in front of truck drivers; I had an awesome conversation with a bunch of homeless people I ran into hiding from police; that's another story.

He should be TDP Chair; he isn't. He built the entire database for True Blue Action with every voter question answered in like two clicks.

Spears doesn't even want you to vote, nor understands why voter access is an issue at all. VOTE MAXEY!!!

TRAVIS COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR: FIDEL "ACE" ACEVEDO. In Chronicle as "no endorsement". Here's mine.

Who is Brown? Like when you're INVOLVED and you ask that, that's an issue.

The Ace doesn't hide in a hole. He trained me, in fact. As well as like 80 that made it to Convention, nearly causing a throw-over of the Party from limosene crowd to populist (went 45-55 when usually 10-90).

You want someone PROVEN to get stuff done, and a PROVEN progressive (solid Kucinich), but fair listening to your opinion when it isn't his (a rules master), you vote ACE!!!

I KISS HIM in greeting every time I see him. I don't do that for many politicos. I hug Doggett.

Isn't that nice when you actually wanna hug your Congressperson? I think it is.

AGREEMENTS WITH CHRONICLE I WISH TO STRESS

RAILROAD COMMISSIONER: DALE HENRY.
This position regulates ENERGY. Not just trains or something. I've sat with him for hours.

SOLID environmentalist, knowledgeable due to past experience in every aspect of the job he's vying for: he'll fix the entire department in like a week. This is a NO-BRAINER.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a NON-candidate more qualified and justified for this position.

Yeah, he used to be Republican. And switched for a reason. The PDA supports him, self included.

Oh, wait, on that note...

NOT ON BALLOT: HANK GILBERT!!! But keep that name in your head. Dale's Treasurer, currently, and that's say A LOT about Henry.

The man who absolutely should be our Agricultural Commissioner, for similar reasons. I've blogged him nearly as often as David Van Os (who SHOULD be our Attorney General, and personal friend. I don't paint your name on my car for nothing.) Might run for Governor of Texas next round; SOLID keep name in mind.

US SENATE: RICK NORIEGA. Do it. He rocks. If I have to go on my Kay Bitch-Hutchison and Jackass-Cornyn diatribe one more time, you seriously don't know me.
